6 Gallon RV Water Heater

Suburban Rv Water Heaters
          Model SW6P

Suburban 6 gallon RV Water Heater is Propane Gas Fired and has Set the Standard for Compact Propane RV Water Heaters. This RV Water Heater is available in 4 Gallon - 6 Gallon - 10 Gallon - 12 Gallon Capacities. Suburban RV water heaters are known for their porcelain-lined steel tank and foam insulation that provides for long life. The high-recovery 12,000 BTU/hour units have a large diameter drain and replaceable anode rod. Heated water corrodes most metals, but the porcelain-lined steel tank features a replaceable anode rod that absorbs the destructive, corrosive action of heated water, ensuring that the entire system lasts longer. The anode rod is attached to the drain plug for easy replacement. We offer the best so you worry less with high quality and performance that outlast all other brands.

Product Features:
  • Both 6- and 10-gallon LP gas units have 12,000 btu/hr input and an efficient recovery rate of 10.2 gallons/hour
  • Direct Spark or pilot ignition models offer an optional electric element to recover an additional 6 gallons/hour at the campsite
  • All models offer a regulated safety thermostat and are designed with controls up front, for simple installation, operation and maintenance
  • Choose flush- or surface-mount door for 6 gallon models
  • All 10-gallon models require flush mount door

Suburban camper water heaters includes high recovery gas, gas-electric and motor aid models with sizes and features to match the requirements of almost any RV. Sizes include 4-, 6-, 10-, 12- and 16-gallon models.

All Suburban RV water heaters are designed for easy installation, operation and maintenance. The limit switch, reset button and on/off electric element rocker switch are conveniently located in a housing behind the removeable outer door. The electric heat element and combination drain plug/anode rod are also located there. For convenience of installation, rough-in openings for Suburban water heaters are small and less likely to interfere with RV exterior design.

Heated water attacks all metals, but not porcelain. That's why Suburban uses a porcelain-lined, steel water heater tank with an anode rod to "absorb" the electrolytical action - just like your water heater at home. In fact, when a Suburban porcelain-lined tank is properly maintained, tank life may double or triple its three-year limited warranty, saving owners the cost of premature replacement. In addition, every Suburban tank is pressure tested twice during the manufacturing process to ensure its integrity.

Fast recovery means more hot water and fewer cool water cycles. Six-, 10-, 12- and 16-gallon Suburban gas water heaters feature 12,000 BTUH input and a recovery rate of 10.2 gallons per hour - that's the fastest in the industry. Combination gas/electric models also use a 1,440-watt element to recover an additional 6.0 gallons per hour at campsites. For higher recovery, both the gas and electric element may be used simultaneously.

Suburban also uses a copolymer insulation jacket specially molded to fit the tank. This does a better job of retaining heat than the "cardboard" style used on some competitive models.
