Suburban 10 Gallon Direct Spark RV Water Heater has a remote switch that electronically controls the water heater from inside the camper. Porcelain-lined, steel RV water heaters have an anode rod to "absorb" the electrolytic action, ensuring that your water heater lasts longer. With the fastest recovery in the industry of 10.2 gallons, this Suburban direct spark camper water heater gives you hot water faster. Copolymer insulation jackets specially fit the tank to retain heat. For higher recovery, use the gas and optional electric element Suburban RV water heaters which use a 1,440 watt element to recover an additional 6 gallons per hour. The best water heaters on the road today, Suburban's line of water heaters includes high recovery gas, gas-electric and motor aid models with sizes and features to match the requirements of almost any RV. Sizes include 4-, 6-, 10-, 12- and 16-gallon models. Easy to install, operate and maintain. Ten gallon features 12,000 BTUs and is 16-7/32"H x 16-7/32"W x 20-1/2"D. Cutout: 16-3/8"H x 16-3/8"W. Access door sold separately. 1/box.

Heated water attacks all metals, but not porcelain. That's why Suburban uses a porcelain-lined, steel water heater tank with an anode rod to "absorb" the electrolytical action - just like your water heater at home. In fact, when a Suburban porcelain-lined tank is properly maintained, tank life may double or triple its three-year limited warranty, saving owners the cost of premature replacement. In addition, every Suburban tank is pressure tested twice during the manufacturing process to ensure its integrity.

All Suburban RV water heaters are designed for easy installation, operation and maintenance. The limit switch, reset button and on/off electric element rocker switch are conveniently located in a housing behind the removeable outer door. The electric heat element and combination drain plug/anode rod are also located there. For convenience of installation, rough-in openings for Suburban water heaters are small and less likely to interfere with RV exterior design.

Fast recovery means more hot water and fewer cool water cycles. Six-, 10-, 12- and 16-gallon Suburban gas water heaters feature 12,000 BTUH input and a recovery rate of 10.2 gallons per hour - that's the fastest in the industry. Combination gas/electric models also use a 1,440-watt element to recover an additional 6.0 gallons per hour at campsites. For higher recovery, both the gas and electric element may be used simultaneously.
Suburban also uses a copolymer insulation jacket specially molded to fit the tank. This does a better job of retaining heat than the "cardboard" style used on some competitive models.
